Therapist in San Francisco for Children and Adults

About Me

I help children and adults resolve difficult emotions and make deep, lasting change.

I earned my master’s degree in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) and am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (license #90009). I chose CIIS because of its humanistic perspective that integrates Eastern philosophy with Western psychological theory for a non-pathologizing, holistic, growth-oriented approach to emotional healing.  I primarily practice depth psychotherapy in which I incorporate an understanding of brain development and evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as mindfulness, meditation, and CBT.

My post graduate training includes two years of intensive training in psychoanalytic/psychodynamic play therapy and parenting support at the Ann Martin Center, the Dialogs in Contemporary Psychoanalysis Yearlong Training Program at the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis (SFCP), and the three-year Intensive Study Program at the Psychoanalytic Couples Psychotherapy Group (PCPG).

Before becoming a therapist, I had a successful corporate career in both NYC and Europe. My background also includes yoga-based trauma work with victims of sex trafficking, and therapeutic teaching of street kids in Cambodia.
